Women in Business: Are You the Missing Link in Your Niche?
One of the fastest ways to build your business from the ground up is to be the missing link in your niche.
Every niche market has a need.
It’s up to you to figure out what that need is. This way you become a premier “solution provider” for your ideal clientele … from start up to launch and beyond.
Imagine:
- Pulling prospects toward you with your message instead of chasing after or giving away your services for free.
- Building your list and getting paid for your services, programs and products over the life of your business.
- Earning revenue for your business even though you don’t have any paying private clients.
To fill the void in your niche market, you’ve got to be intentional and strategic about what you communicate and how to get desired results.
Here are 3 quick strategies to get started with this process:
1. Get clear on your message: Your message is core to your business model and design and supports your vision and mission. This is what you believe makes the difference in helpin g your clients reach their most important goals, dreams, desires in their life, career, business. Without it you will be subject to creating solutions that misalign with what you’re all about.
2. Clarify your niche: If you don’t know what you do and how you serve others, all of your marketing efforts will be dead in the water. Who you serve and what you do to help others meet their most important goals is the sweet spot of defining your niche. Clarify this for yourself first.
3. Study what’s already out there: Chances are you are not the only in your field who does what you do. Get new ideas about how to serve your market by doing research and investigate what is already being offered. By doing this, you not only uncover who your competitors are, you will know that you are providing value and relevant solutions.
It is this perspective and understanding, that you need to develop your distinction. Your ability to find your voice in a crowded market place, understanding your unique positioning, and what makes you stand out from all the rest, will put you on the fast track to becoming the missing link in your niche.

FREE Training Starts Today: How to Monetize What You Know to Build Your Business Faster
How would you feel if you could:
Stop giving away your services for free & start getting paid what you’re worth?
Pull more clients toward you instead of chasing after them?
Make money while at work during the day, or in your sleep?
Establish loyal followers and fans and full paying clients over the life of your business?
I have been thinking a lot about the distinction between a thriving solo business, and one that is starved for clients and not making any money.
Why is it that some solopreneurs are able to establish their credibility, get their name out there in a bigger way, get prospects to join their list and take the next step with them, while others chase after prospects, discount their services or give away their services for free in hopes that someone will hire them.
The answer: Those with a sound business model beyond working one-on-one with clients, and a keen sense of marketing are seeing more optimal results. They are elevating their success by choosing smarter more leveraged approaches to build their business faster.
And the same can happen for you.
Introducing, my new FREE 3-part video training series, My First Info Product Now, designed to teach YOU how you can attract ideal clients, build your list, and make money now — even if you still haven’t landed your first full paying client.

Biz Tip of the Week: Don’t Co-mingle Your Funds
You form a corporation or LLC to protect yourself from personal liability for obligations of the business. It is critically important that your corporation or LLC maintain its own bank account and that transactions of the business be distinct from your personal transactions. If you personally spend funds on business, submit documentation and have yourself reimbursed. Co-mingling of funds runs the risk that you might void your protection from liability.

Women in Business: The Value of Doing Nothing
A couple of months ago, I made my annual trek to the United States to see my family, take care of administrative tasks for my consultancy, and attend a professional congress. About ½ hour into my flight, the pilot announced a technical problem and said that we needed to return to Paris to have our plane repaired.
While the waiting time was not “extra” time in my life, it did represent time not previously planned. What to do with it? There was no audio or video service on the plane, and I do not download movies or music to my computer. There was no WiFi available, so I had no opportunity to check e-mail or surf the Web. I had three “brain dump” books with me, but was reluctant to begin looking at their contents because I did not want to begin concentrating on the projects and ideas recorded in them only to be interrupted with periodic announcements about the flight. So I elected to:
Do nothing!
Most women solopreneurs are so busy during the workday that they never take a moment to simply relax and breathe. How many of us have the luxury of literally doing nothing during a given day . . . even if it is only for a few minutes? What does it feel like? Do we even remember?
Doing nothing can feel uncomfortable when we are accustomed to being “on” all the time – thinking about multiple, current projects at work, then going home and taking care of our responsibilities there.
Yet taking “do nothing” time is the best thing that we can do to rejuvenate our minds and spirits so that we can perform better when we return to our business projects and activities. I daresay that many of us have forgotten what it feels like to let our minds wander freely, and I consider this to be a great loss for us, both personally and professionally.
Doing nothing, even for five minutes, is the beginning of the end of overwhelm. Take some time today and try it! Leave your comments below to let me know how it feels!

Biz Tip of the Week: Put Yourself in the Customer’s Shoes
You’re smart enough and you make good choices. But you may not meet the profile of a typical client and/or customer.
Remember it’s not about you!
To attract ideal clientele, it’s critical to study and understand your target audience. Then you can tailor your marketing copy to meet their needs and anticipate their objections.
For ex: (I know you aren’t a cars sales woman, but let’s use this example for simplicity sake) …if you were the sports car type, but selling minivans, you would have to understand the needs and concerns of customers looking for family transportation. Forget about your own preferences and communicate with the customer in a way that shows that you both understand and care about their special needs and preferences.
